Dural Premium Contact Cement is a neoprene, solvent based adhesive used for bonding difficult substrates like wood, press wood, plywood, metal, laminating veneer, formica, arborite etc. It is a premium quality grade, for high strength bonding of laminating panels to press wood.

Application & Guidelines
  • Application
  • Mix the product well before using to redisperse the settled pigments. Apply the adhesive with a soft brush or short hair roller without insisting too long on the surface. Ideally both surfaces to be joined should be covered with a uniform layer about 0.5 mm (20 mils) thick. Leave an open time of 10 to 30 minutes at room temperature (or as soon as the adhesive does not stick any more on a piece of kraft paper pressed on the surface). After the appropriate open time elapsed, join carefully the two substrates then press down with a heavy metal roller or with a rubber hammer from the center towards the edges. Adhesive strength will increase with aging but edges can be cut for finishing immediately.

  • This product is extremely flammable, vapours are toxic at high levels. Keep container closed between uses. Shut off pilot lights avoid flames and sparks. Do not smoke and provide good ventilation in the room. Clean the tools immediately with toluene.
  • Stability
  • This product becomes a gel at low temperature but it recovers its normal consistence on warming up at room temperature.
